We (Susan Bartholomew) and I spent 20 years in the Air Force after high school - visiting exotics places like San Angelo, TX, Omaha (twice), Anchorage (twice), Phoenix, Jacksonville, AR, and finally Cavalier, ND.

Since leaving the Air Force, I have continued to work at the radar station at Cavalier for a Department of Defense contractor. I presently work for ITT Industries as a software engineer for the aging (like me) system. I have enough time and have reached the magical age where I can 'retire' from ITT but my youngest daughter is getting married in June so figure I need to stay gainfully employed for a few more years.

Susan and I have 4 kids and 5 grandkids - hardly an idiot in the bunch... My oldest son is 35 and is headed for Iraq for a second time with the guard. My oldest daughter is 33 and is back in nursing school. My youngest son just turned 30 and will graduate in May, after taking a detour to start a family. My youngest daughter will also graduate in May and will then get married.

About 5 years ago I started coaching girls and boys cross country as a means to lessen the impact of the empty nest syndrome.  I really enjoy the interaction with the kids and it keeps me active and off the couch.  Unfortunately, it is a fall sport and I would really like to return to hunting so I sense another life style change in the not-too-distant future.
Wouldn't mind hearing from anyone who cares to write.  I was pretty invisible in high school but I think I remember everyone

My 2 oldest ran the full marathon - the rest of us ran the 5K.
