I married my high school sweetheart, Richard Wiesinger on May 29, 1970.  We lived in Lemmon for a few years and had two sons, Greg and Shannon.

In 1974 we moved to Meadow SD where we farmed and ranched with Charles and Nellie Purdon.  My two boys rode many rounds in the tractor with me while I summer fallowed.

In 1978 we moved to Richards home place where we did some farming with Tom and Ester Lyman on the Grand River.  Later we purchased the land.  In 1985 we rented a place south of Thunderhawk SD and have lived there ever since.

The tractor I drive is now 4-wheel drive and pulling anhydrous tanks. In 1989 we purchased a semi and grain trailer and started doing a little trucking along with our farming.  We took cattle in on shares with Tom and Ester Lyman.

Our son Greg went to Watertown Vo-tech and studied to be a mechanic.  While in Watertown he worked for CSS Potato Farms, got married and blessed us with our first grand-daughter.  In 1996 he came back home, bought a semi and grain trailer and we became Wiesinger Trucking.

In 1997 our son Shannon bought a truck and trailer and hauled a lot of grain until 2002 when the drought started.  So we all bought cattle pots and started hauling cattle.  Shanon is married and has one step-daughter and one of his own.  Greg now has a daughter and a son.

My grandkids are all driving and love to go out on 4-wheelers and lawn tractors!

I enjoy making cakes, especially for weddings, and over the years have made countless cakes for all kinds of events and have hauled them all over our area.

In 2004 Richard was diagnosed with a lung disease called Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis or better known as "farmers lung" which comes from breathing dust, chemicals, etc.  He has been on oxygen for four years and is now on the list for a lung transplant.  We traveled to Rochester Minnesota every six weeks for two years and are now going to Minneapolis every two months.
