After graduation I attended BHSU in Spearfish for one year, and then moved back to Lemmon to work at the Bank of Lemmon.  In 1972 I moved to Rapid City and worked at banks and for the State of South Dakota until my marriage in 1975 to Ray Schott.  We have two beautiful daughters, Angela Dawn, who will graduate this summer with her master’s degree in education from USD and Marissa Nicole, who has a mass communication degree and works as a deejay (Jayden McKay) and music director for Hot 93.1 in Rapid City.  Angie’s husband, David McNeal, will graduate this spring with his PHD in Neuro Science and will be going to Overland Park, Kansas for his post doctorate for two years.  They have given us two beautiful (and smart!) grandchildren, Dylan, 9 and Erin, 7.  Marissa has brought, Coco, a wonderful little bichon/yorkie mix grand puppy into our lives.  Along the way we have owned two businesses – which is a true education (!) - and presently I am the Business Administrator at the Hotel Alex Johnson.   Ray just medically retired from 30 plus years in law enforcement with the RCPD, the last seventeen years as an Evidence Tech.  (He has made sure my life hasn’t been dull since we met!)
We enjoy traveling, our Harley, taking the grandchildren camping in the motor home, reading and getting together with friends and family.  My mother, Ella, had her 90th birthday this summer and still lives on her own here in Rapid City.    Ray and I have had to deal with numerous health issues throughout the years, but God has always been good to us, brought us through each ordeal stronger and wiser and He continually blesses us each day.  Thank you, Nette, for putting this web page together so that we might share a bit of our lives with our classmates.  I only wish that my cousins and classmates, Lane Hochhalter, Daryl Friez and Marge Nelson Lorenz were still with us.  They all died so young, but all three left adult children to be proud of.  They will forever be missed, as are all the other friends from our class that have gone on before us

You will often see me referred to as 'Charlie' - a nickname given to me in college that never went away!  In fact, my co-workers, friends and family here in the Hills only refer to me as Charlie - maybe because 'Charlotte Schott' is pretty shushy!!!  Picture of our kids will be coming in the near future . .
