I married our classmate, Jerry Reisenauer, in 1971. After Jerry’s tour of duty in Viet Nam and discharge from the Army we moved to Minneapolis. We lived in Minneapolis for approximately four years, where our only child was born. Not wanting to raise our son in a large city, we moved back to Mobridge, where Jerry was employed in the electric industry and I managed a fabric store and a clothing store that we owned. In the late 1980’s we moved to Bison, where we currently reside and Jerry continues to work in the electric and communications field. I keep busy traveling with him to many meetings he attends and work with the livestock we have on a small farm we own near Bison. For several years I raised and showed miniature horses until approximately four years ago when the ill effects of a heart attack and subsequent heart surgery forced me to reconsider my lifestyle and unfortunately prompted the sale of my horses.

We are very fortunate as our son Chad, who picked a great gal for our daughter-in-law, has provided us with a handsome grandson, age 8 and a beautiful granddaughter, age six. They live about three hours away and we see them often. Jerry’s parents live within one hundred miles and my mother lives in the Black Hills. They are all in their mid eighties, so, as you can imagine, I spend a great deal of my time taking them to appointments. For the past few years, I have traveled with my mother and spent a couple of months each winter in Arizona.

We are looking forward to retirement in a few years and hope to spend more time watching our grandchildren participate in sports and school activities.
