Adding to this page is one of the hardest things I have done in one year and ten days. I had not talked to Donnie since I talked to him about coming to our 40tieth. The last time we talked he said was feeling pretty good, but I could tell in his voice that he wasn't feeling as well as he was saying. After I escaped from high school I went up to Dickinson North Dakota to college I stayed for a year getting my generals out of the way, and then went to work at the Vet Clinic in Hettinger, North Dakota that first summer. I liked the vet work and stayed there for a couple of years until deciding that I might like to be a veterinarian. So I headed back to college again, this time heading for North Dakota State University to study pre-vet. During my time ad NDSU, I college rodeoed and during the summer time I held three association cards with NDRA, IRA and Rancher Association competing in bareback riding. To keep things going I also worked for the stock yards in North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota I stayed in the pre-vet program for about two years and eventually settled into working at the stock yards in West Fargo and ended up working there for 29 ½ years. I met my wife, Nancy, while I was in college in Fargo and we were married in 1986. She works for a life flight team at Merict Care Hospital. Our son. Justin, was born in 1988. He attends college at Wahpeton and is studying surveying and civil engineering. I have had horses over the years but sold the last ones about a year ago. I love to hunt and fish. I am also an auctioneer. |

Dear God, You took another cowboy today. Another cowboy for heaven and one less here on earth. He was a good one and we will miss him. But we rejoice in knowing that you must have needed him and that his brother was waiting with open arms. |
