The music on this page is "Smoke On The Water" which was one of George's favorites.

This is being submitted by George's wife, Lou Ann.

After graduation George worked on the family ranch and enlisted in the National Guard for 6 years.  He moved to Lemmon in 1976 and worked for Fullerton Lumber company and Riddles Jewelry.

George and I, Lou Ann Raile, met in 1975 and we were married October 15th 1977.  Two daughters were born - Heidi Marie on June 26th 1979 (Heidi was stillborn) and Heather Lynn on June 29th 1980.

We moved to Dupree, SD in February of 1981 and George took a job at the Farmers Coop Elevator.  On August 21st, 1981 at the age of 29 years George passed away from a heart condition.  This was a very devastating time in my life.  George and I were only married four and one half years and Heather was only 14 months old when he passed away.  Heather and I lived with  my parents for about a year and then we moved back to Lemmon in July of 1982.

In Lemmon I met Fred Bubbers and we were married on April 23rd, 1983.  To this union were born identical twin girls, Trista and Nicole on April 9th, 1985 (which is also George's birthday).  The girls graduated from Lemmon High School in 2005.  They are now 22 years old and attend college at Williston State and will graduate this May as physical therapy assistants.  They also have their degree in massage therapy as of May 2007.

Heather, George's only child, is now 27 and graduated from Lemmon High School in 1999.  She attended college and graduated as a massage therapist in 2005 from Williston State College.  She now lives in Bismarck, ND and is back in college to become a surgical technician.  She works at an assisted living complex and does massage when time allows.

To any of you who knew George or kept in touch with him or even if you would like to share some memories of George, please just let me know and I will put more on this page.  Thank you.

What a Sweety!!!  He was so quiet but always had the biggest smile! I remember being jealous of him as we ran laps in P.E., never realizing it wasn't that he was the "teacher's pet" but apparently a bad heart.  ~ Jean Butler

My mom worked with George at Riddles Jewelry and she though the world of him.  He was always polite and caring and it hurt so much when he suddenly left us.  I would like these pages to be a celebration of life and I know George would have wanted that as well.  The song on here is for his daughter, Heather, and to the family - if there is anything at all that you want to add or change, please just let me know and it will be done. ~ Love Nette
