After graduating from high school I stuck around Lemmon until November when I left to serve in the Army. Basic training was in Ft. Lewis Washington followed by AIT in Virginia. Then I jumped on a plane and went to Okinawa. I served as a clerk and was stationed there until my discharge in 1973. I came home and went to work in the oil field on a seismic crew in the Lemmon area. I followed seismic work to Minot North Dakota where I met my wife, Helen. We were married in 1976 and had two children. My son Anthony lives in Minot and works for a construction company in Mohall during the summer and spends the winters working at a ski resort in Colorado. My daughter, Mari, lives in Minot and has a son and a daughter. She works at Kentucky Fried Chicken. My mother passed away in 2000 and since that time I do not get back to Lemmon. My wife passed away May 16, 2010. I enjoy watching sports and get in a little fishing when I can. My grandchildren live close so that I get to spend time with them. |
