Thank you, Nette, for a wonderful idea and all of your hard work!
When Niles and I graduated from BH in 1974, we moved to Sheridan which most definitely is  “home.”  Our children, Shelly and Cody, grew up enjoying the surrounding mountains and still live nearby with their families.  Shelly and Mike have a 2 ½  year old girl with another one coming in January.  Cody and Lorena are expecting their first in May.  My son-in-law says I am very much the “doting” grandma.
Shelly and I run a travel business together and Niles has been with the same company structure since 1974.

I remember my folks were elated when Niles sold his Kawasaki motorcycle upon our engagement but we bought a Harley in 1975 and have had several since, taking trips each year, even up to Alaska.  The first thing Cody bought was a new Harley so they ride with us; and my brother, Lee and his wife, started traveling with us, also.

All of my family are avid sportsmen - hunting (I have had 3 moose myself); skiing (my kids taught me when I was over 40!); camping (although now it is in a 5th wheel); snowmobiling...
I do feel truly blessed and have lived by the following:
I hope that I will know and appreciate what are the treasures of my present - NOW - while they are in my grasp; not later when they have slipped like many other loved ones and things  into the years.

I can't believe this girl compared to my high school friend!  She was as foreign to camping as you could get and the outdoors in general.  The thought of a mouse had her up on a chair!  And as for hunting-if I remember right she shot the floor at the Armory when we did a Hunter Safety Course.  Riding her own Harley-only in my dreams and oh my God, a mule?  Never!
Those Veal men can have a big influence on you, can't they?
The one thing that never changes with Jean is her smile and her great personality.  I love you, Jean, then and now.
