After high school, I spent a couple of years in the Army. I married our classmate, Donna Tennant, in 1971. After being discharged from the Army, we moved to Minneapolis for approximately four years. We moved to Mobridge South Dakota in 1975 when I began working for Montana Dakota Utilities. While living in Mobridge I spent a few years and made many trips to Bismarck working on my Business Degree. I continued to work with MDU and Donna managed a fabric store and a clothing store we owed in Mobridge until the late eighties when we left Mobridge and moved to Bison where we continue to live at this time. I manage a group of Cooperatives that provide Electric, Communication, Internet and Cable TV service to the Northern Black Hills and northwestern South Dakota. We also own a small farm where we raise a few cattle and horses.

We enjoy the area and are fortunate to have an opportunity to travel to many areas of the United States on a regular basis. Our son, Chad, his wife and our two grandchildren live within two hundred miles, so we are able to see them often. We are looking forward to retirement in a few years and plan to spend most months in the Dakota’s spoiling our grandchildren, but hope to spend the winter months touring the southern states and possibly playing a round or two of golf.
