Hi everyone….I have now lived in Omaha since 1971.   As some of you may remember, I was a DJ at KBJM while in high school.  Following high school, I went to the Career Academy for Broadcasting in Milwaukee where I graduated and was placed in a radio station in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.  Things didn’t quite work out the way I thought they would, so I moved back to Hettinger with my Mom before making my way back down here to Omaha.  Had a few odd jobs before landing a job at the phone company (Northwestern Bell at that time) as a typist.  Worked my way up to management and eventually became a programmer.  Survived a lay off in the 90’s, and then retired from Qwest in 2007 after more than 30 years of service.

I am married to a wonderful woman named Carol….we were married in December of 2005, but we’ve known each other since 1983….that’s a story in itself.  Carol has 3 kids, all grown up, and we have 4 grandchildren.

We have a furry child at home, our terrific pup named Jada…..she really is the one that runs the household.

For those of you that remember, my Mom was our speech teacher when we were sophomores.  She was living in Arizona, but in 2006, we moved her up here to Omaha, so we could take care of her.  She passed away this past October at the age of 98 after living a very full life.

I keep pretty active with sports activities.  I play racquetball about 3 times a week, and exercise on the treadmill or elliptical machines when I’m not playing racquetball.  When the weather gets nice, I play tennis and do some running outside.

I’m still a huge music fan……used to have albums, but now its CD’s….about 2500 of them.  Carol got me an IPOD for Christmas a few years ago, and after struggling with it for a month or so, I really love it.  We go to several concerts a year, one of which usually includes our favorite group “Chicago”, which I’ve now seen about 35 times.  We got to meet several members of the band in 2004.  We’ve had great concerts here in Omaha….U2, Rolling Stones just to name a few.
