I am currently living in Quepos, Costa Rica on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is a very small town, sort of like Lemmon, but with the rainforest all around it and lots of monkeys and other animals in the national park, Manuel Antonio. I opened a coffee shop/dessert house/DVD rental/wireless internet cafe/small cinema about a year and  a half ago and am in the process of selling everything off and closing it and maybe opening up a DVD rental shop in the neighborhood of Manuel  Antonio about half way between Quepos and the national park.

Before this I was a teacher of the Deaf for 10 years in San Diego, CA.  The year before that I substitute taught in the same schools. Before that I worked as a stock broker/insurance agent for a small asset management company in Del Mar.  Before that I lived and worked in Seattle, WA for 15 years, most of the time in telecommunications.  I worked for the telephone company, AT&T, The University of Washington, a private consulting firm, and the last 4 years for Group Health Coop of Puget Sound. During that time I got my MBA at the U of Washington and part of that was spent studying in the UK, about an hour north of London. I spent the summer in London working for AT&T International.

Before Seattle I spent 4 very long years in Fulton, Missouri teaching at the Missouri School for the Deaf. And before that I was in a Deaf/Blind program out of the Michigan State U and studied at the Mich School for the Blind. I spent the first 5 months after graduation teaching in the Deaf/Blind program at the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School. This was after I graduated from Augustana University in Sioux Falls.
