After high school I spent several years working in construction in Colorado, Nebraska, and Washington state with a short return to Lemmon in 74-75. I applied for a job with the City of Casper while still living in Nebraska, and a week later I was moving to Wyoming. I have been with the city since 1983, and have been with the street department since 1996 fixing potholes and re-paving in the summer and plowing snow in the winter.

I have 11 awesome grandkids – five girls and six boys – one son, five stepdaughters and one stepson.

I like to ride and have four Harley Davidsons – a 1972 Sportster, a 1972 FX, 2006 Dyna Glide, and a 1970 chopper which I built. I have a 1982 Sportster which is currently what is known as a basket case that I am building for my oldest grandson’s graduation present. I like to take the grandkids out riding on the four dirt bikes and the four-wheeler. Some like it more than others, but most of them humor me!

For the last five and a half years I have shared my life with Darlene, who makes sure I follow at least some of the rules as far as taking care of myself. She likes the bikes and this year we will have her Yamaha Virago on the road so she can see if she likes to ride her own, too, or just pack with me. We look forward to experimenting with the getting old process. Since it is unavoidable, we decided to make it as much fun as we can.
