As most of you know, Bob Miller and Todd Seim died in a car accident less than a year after we graduated.  I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the day it came on the radio.  It was so unbelievable.  We were so young and had no real concept of death.

Bob and Todd - May 1971

Bob began working for Evanson Jensen in his high school years, and had served a summer apprenticeship at the funeral home following graduation.  He was willing to work and learn, and
during his freshman college year at Black Hills State, would return on weekends and holiday's to help wherever he could.  Along with Bob, the Evanson's and the Jensen's were all looking forward to his "growing" into the work and returning to Lemmon the summer of 1971.  Then the accident that took his and Todd's life, changed the next chapter in many peoples life-book.  ~ Eldon Jensen

He and Todd were good buddies of Niles during our Freshman year at Spearfish. Niles was planning on going to the kegger with them but when my "hand-me-down station wagon wasn't running right, he decided to ride home with me that weekend instead. Bob had a fear of driving too fast and wouldn't ride with Charlotte and me since we thought 90 mph was the minimum highway speed. What a tragedy their young deaths were...and has always stayed with me. ~ Jean Butler
