The annual got this wrong. This is Walter Barnes. Sorry guys! |
After leaving Lemmon High School I joined the army turning eighteen in basic training and 19 In Vietnam, flying in a UH-1H helicopter as a door gunner. Came back home and worked at several different jobs from driving semi to working as a derrick hand on an oil rig. Was married in June of 1977 and have been divorced since 2003. I have one daughter, Courtney who lives in Bison, SD and is going to school to become a registered nurse. She is married to Dakota Hulm who is Dennis Hulm’s son. My son Matthew is married to Stacey Peters and they have two daughters, Sierra, and my newest granddaughter, Emma Rose, who was born on the 4th of October 2007 . Matt works at Evanson Jensen Funeral Home and Stacey is able to stay at home and raise Emma and Sierra (when she's not in school).
I currently live on the home place and
work at Northwest Supply, a lumber company in
Lemmon, SD. I enjoy fishing, golf, watching baseball and football. I
retired from the National
Guard in 2001 after serving for 22 years. I am doing this bio on my
son’s computer because the one at home apparently doesn’t work for sending
email. |
